Service Description

Summer Program Week 3 Trotwood Park 701 Northern Way, Winter Springs, FL 32708 Monday 7/6 – Friday 7/10 9:00am to 12:00pm Ages 5-12 Cost: $250.00 Weekly Fishing Theme: “Fish’mas in July” It may be 90+ degrees outside but Louie (our Take Me Fishing mascot) is ready for Fish’mas aka Christmas in July! Fishing never goes out of season. Whether it is 90 degrees or -10 below, fishing can happen and we will learn more about the science of fish and how they survive in hot and cold. Required Items: *Small LABELED backpack with labeled water bottle and snack as well as extra change of clothes *Hat and sunscreen (**please apply sunscreen before drop off in the morning**) *Fishing pole (if child owns one and would like to bring it). We do provide poles for use during lesson if requested and are more than happy to recommend the appropriate type of pole for your child. *Appropriate attire - please dress accordingly for hot temperatures and rain. We fish rain or shine (pending no lightning in the area)! *Designated water activity days – towel, appropriate swim attire (or clothes they don’t mind getting wet in) Severe Weather / Cancellation: Utilizing morning hours only, we should avoid most of the unpredictable weather summer afternoons bring in Florida. We fish in the rain, cold temps, high heat, but we do not fish or operate camp in the lightning/thunder. If the weather looks like a complete washout with thunderstorms for the morning hours, unfortunately for safety reasons, camp will need to be delayed or cancelled. If severe weather is rolling in, we will contact parents and shelter in place accordingly until parents are able to pick up their child(ren). Our official mode of communication for cancellation is either email or calling parents directly. PLEASE NOTE: Per American Red Cross water safety protocol, life preservers must be worn by participants when by the water regardless of age/swimming ability for the safety of all children when actively fishing. If a child is unable or unwilling to wear provided life preserver, we unfortunately cannot have them attend our camp for the safety of all participants. **Attention Step Up for Students Parents. If you are planning to pay directly through the EMA Marketplace, please select "Manual Payment" when prompted to pay during registration and follow the directions to reserve the funds in your child's SUFS account. Please note, your child will not have a reserved spot until we see reserved funds in EMA. Thank you!
